  • Solar-powered car: Our first prototype!

Check out our first prototype of a solar-powered car. Creating a car that runs on solar energy via miniature solar panels supports our 4th grade energy curriculum. We are also continuously engaged in making our students aware of renewable energy sources, such as solar energy acquired through solar panels.

  • Hour-of-Code Week long celebration! December 3rd- December 9th, 2018.

Join us for a week long celebration of Hour-of-code!The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts. Check out the tutorials and activities. At PS335, your child will be participating by engaging in a grade appropriate tutorial to introduce them to coding. Coding is the foundation of programming, an integral component of CS Principles. Coding can be not only easy but quite fun for the entire family. Code.org's patrons have ensured this event to be completely free to join. We encourage you to try a tutorial.  All students who complete a coding tutorial will receive a certificate!
